Welcome to the joint elective and exchanges site of the studentBMJ and the IFMSA. The aim of this site is to enable students from all around the world to share their elective and exchange experiences with other people. We hope that this site will become a useful resource for people planning to study abroad in the future.

You will now have the option to read reports or fill in one of three reports. These are electives, research exchanges and professional exchanges. Please select the one that is most approriate for you.

When you have done this, an electronic form will appear with a list of questions with a space after it where you will be able to type in your responses.

When filling in the form, please be honest and as concise as possible.

Certain details are essential. These are your name, country of origin, email address, year of study and where you went to. However, please try to fill in as much of the report as you can - you are more likely to have it published on the website that way.

The language of the site is English. But if English isn't your first language - don't worry. Just try to put down your thoughts.

When you have completed the form, click on the submit button. The form will then be sent automatically to either the studentBMJ for electives, a representative from SCORE for research exchanges or a representative from SCOPE for professional exchanges. Someone will then read your report and consider it for publication. If it is accepted, your report will feature on this site.
