Dear studentBMJ

Praise for GTAs

Editor - I am glad that the issue of gynaecological teaching associates was covered by the studentBMJ, thanks to Lucy Cowdrey.1 I went to one of their sessions while I was doing an obstetrics and gynaecology rotation in the United States. I was fascinated by those lovely women—they dispelled our fears and equipped us with a better understanding of the experience.

Even though I was a female medical student and had a chance to do more gynaecology exams, it has been really difficult to evaluate how I was doing without patients' feedback. And patients give full feedback, like the associates do. I really appreciate their effort and enthusiasm and totally agree that they need more acknowledgement.
