Your medical elective offers you the chance to experience a new side of medicine either in your home country or abroad. Whether you are starting to think about planning your elective or just about to start it, here are some tips based on my experence of giving advice to students. You want to ensure your elective makes a big impact, not just when you’re on it but also on your future career.
You will get the most out of your elective if you have a clear idea from the start about what you want to achieve.
