About us
student.bmj.com is a website owned by the BMJ Publishing Group Limited.
Student BMJ is a monthly international medical journal for students with an interest in medicine. It was launched in 1992 and contains articles that have been specially commissioned for medical students. It also features carefully selected articles from the BMJ.
The journal is compiled by a student editor - a medical student who takes a year out from studying. We advertise for this position in February and March. Student reviewers from around the world are also recruited to ensure the articles in the Student BMJ are those you'd want to read. Read our reviewer guidelines if you're interested in signing up.
Interested in work experience with the Student BMJ and BMJ? We offer four work experience placements a year called Clegg scholarships. These last eight weeks and are based in the editorial office in BMA House, London. The places for 2009 have all been filled, but do look out for the 2010 scheme. We advertise for Clegg scholars in October and November. Here is an old Clegg Scholarship advertisement. The new advertisement will be very similar.
