The purpose of this app is to work through case based scenarios and decide appropriate investigations and management for the patient. In each case, a succinct history and physical examination findings are presented and then the user is required to choose the relevant investigations. Results of the investigations are then provided and a decision is needed to decide which management option is best.
The answers are submitted, marked, and overall feedback of “Well,” “OK,” and “Poor” is given in addition to the correct answers to the case.
An explanation is provided about clinical presentation and reasoning behind the correct choice of investigations and management. The scenario ends with take home messages, what the authors think students and doctors should understand about the case, and references for further reading.
