A useful app for general medicine

Search online for a medical query and you will probably find that a Medscape article will appear near the top of the list. It is also available in an app format, which offers most of the content available on the website

Medscape is a clinical reference application containing more than 5000 peer reviewed articles written by experts. The topics have a broad range, including anatomy, pathology, and pharmacology. The content is comprehensive, but can be used by all ranks within medicine—from medical student to consultant.

One of the app’s best utilities is the drug interaction checker. After typing the names of two or more drugs, the user is presented with a detailed report; useful in checking if a patient has presented because of iatrogenic causes, or when reviewing their drug plan to ensure there are no interactions.
