Although you can find out about most of your course and medical school online, it is also important to visit medical schools to get a feel for the place.
You will need to do some research before attending an open day, so that you can make the most of your time. This will also ensure that you visit only the medical schools that you have a good chance of receiving an offer from because you will have considered your predicted or achieved grades and entrance exam scores beforehand. Students will show you round, so open days are a good chance to get honest feedback on the quality of teaching and accommodation. The student hosts will have been through the application and interview processes and will be able to give you reassurance and tips. Finally, check the timetable before attending. Talks may be oversubscribed and you may need to queue to
