How easy is it to change foundation schools halfway through the foundation programme?

Most junior doctors are happy with the foundation schools they have been allocated for the two year training programme. If you become unhappy during the programme, however, discuss the situation with your programme education supervisor or foundation programme director. It is unlikely you will be able to switch foundation schools part way through for anything other than extenuating circumstances.
An inter-foundation school transfer (IFST) may be granted on the following grounds, if your circumstances have changed from when you first applied and your current foundation school no longer meets your needs: you are a parent of a child under 18 years; you are a primary carer for someone with a disability; you have a disability or medical condition yourself; and/or if you have educational needs.
