Interactive science The Wellcome Wing, Science Museum, London T he Science Museum sounds like pure torture to your average 15 year old. Most of us would much rather be out buying the latest handkerchief top, or even just spending the entire day getting ready for our evening out. However, I managed to drag myself there and spent three or four hours not only enjoying myself but also learning a good deal.
The new Wellcome Wing is divided into four floors. The basement is the “Launch pad,” a hands-on gallery of science and technology. All the exhibits can be touched, pulled, pushed, and played with, and they help make complex science easier to understand.
