Students need to resist personality conformity

A medical student needs to be bright--not least to cope with a lifetime of assimilation of new concepts and knowledge. The ability to communicate, the ability to work as part of a multiprofessional team, empathy, and a non-prejudicial approach are qualities that should be expected in all healthcare professionals. There is also, however, a need for diversity and a need to resist any move towards personality conformity.
