"I forced myself to eat a piece of cake and all at once started to panic. I had to stop by the road. I felt like I was about to collapse. My heart was beating really hard and I could barely catch my breath. I felt completely out of control. It just destroyed the whole day for me."
Andrea is a long term friend. She's being treated in hospital for anorexia and she agreed to talk to me about it and allow me to write about her experiences.
"So now, the thing is I didn't get to my target weight last week. They've given me a warning and, if next Thursday I haven't caught up the difference, they'll kick me out."
Andrea goes into hospital voluntarily every day at 8 am, and she leaves at 8 pm. She doesn't need to be an inpatient because her weight is no longer
